So, I'm Yasmin, if I introduce myself, and I created the Polyvagal Teen resources and the R.U.D process after my own personal experience, the impact Polyvagal Framework had on my own life.
Your guide for this journey, I'm excited to share my knowledge and experience with you. As a trauma therapist
and neurofeedback practitioner, I have seen first hand the impact that trauma can have on a person's emotional and physical wellbeing, not just from a professional perspective.
But also from a personal perspective, traditional therapy methods can often feel short when it comes to addressing the complex impact of trauma on the nervous system.
However, once I discovered the polyvagal theory and I understood it. By learning how to regulate our nervous system, we can reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.
This theory has been a game changer in my life and in my practice, and I'm passionate about sharing its principles. With others, that's why I created this course. Being neurodivergent, I found it really difficult to understand a lot of the textbooks.
So, this self paced learning is split into three modules, each with several lessons and further topics. Each topic is designed to be no more than 10 to 12 minutes long, making it easy to digest and apply the content into your daily life.
As a therapist, I found it really difficult to actually explain this theory in a simple format to my clients. So you'll find in Module 2, the RUD process and resources that I've created to help support therapists share their knowledge with their clients.
By the end of this course, you'll have a deep understanding of polyvagal theory and the practical tool to help regulate nervous systems, whether it's your own or that of your clients or students.
Then let's dive in and discover the transformative power of the polyvagal framework together.
